Best Restaurant in Rome
Our fantastic Roman adventure continued well into the afternoon when our guide for the day, Lucrezia (from Learn Italian with Lucrezia) revealed her FAVOURITE Roman trattoria – Trattoria Lilli, The Best restaurant in Rome.
This authentically rustic spot which is hidden away from the hustle and bustle has a small but wonderful menu, filled with all of the traditional Roman dishes that will make your heart melt and your tastebuds dance – and if you don’t eat it as soon as it hits the table, Lilli will come out from the kitchen and be very upset!
We all ordered the “famous” Tagliolini Cacio e Pepe – you CANNOT miss this dish. Whether it’s the right weather for it or not (it was at least 37 degrees when we visited and the last thing were thinking about was eating pasta), you simply have to taste it…and you won’t regret it. It is a classic case of simple cooking, done right.
