Day 1 Sun.

PICK-UP IN ROME, BEACH DAY IN PESCARA AND DINNER AT NONNA’S (L, A, D)

You will be picked up in Rome (at 8.30am) for private transfer to the coastal city of Pescara and check-in to the hotel. First stop? Basking in the sun while overlooking 11km of divine coast and devouring fresh pizza’s – so good they’re famous in the city. All while lying under a giant beach umbrella. In the early evening, enjoy a divine Aperitivo in the middle of the city before heading to Vincenzo’s Nonna’s house and enjoying a home cooked meal of authentic Abruzzo cuisine which she has prepared especially for you!

TIP: Unbutton your pants, it’s going to be a FEAST!

Day 2 Mon.

SAILING THE ADRIATIC BY PRIVATE YACHT (B,L)

After breakfast, you will be escorted to a divine private yacht. Once on board, the journey to one of the most picturesque Islands in Italy, begins. While travelling toward Tremiti island for the day, you will be spoilt with views of endless blue and enjoy a fresh, homemade seafood lunch. Take a dip and savor the moment, the crystal clear waters are mesmerizing.

Day 3 Tue.

SANTO STEFANO DI SESSANIO AND ROCCA CALASCIO

The day starts on escort to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, one of the most striking and top preserved villages in central Italy. Lunch will be served at Hotel Sextantio, one of the most talked about locations in the picturesque village, and followed by a sweet cooking demonstration with Vincenzo’s Plate. Late afternoon is at Rocca Calascio. A castle, dating back to the year 1000 that has been selected as one of the top 10 most beautiful by National Geographic. At the top of the castle, you will enjoy a light dinner with exclusive live music performances while overlooking Gran Sasso.

Day 4 Wed.

SHOPPING AT THE MARKET IN SULMONA AND WINE TASTING AT ZACCAGNINI WINERY (B, L, A)

First stop is the infamous market of Sulmona where you will taste and touch all the fresh produce of the region including cheese, truffles, seasonal fruit, vegetables and one-of-a-kind red garlic. Then for lunch you will be led to a hidden B&B that has a view of the 3 surrounding national parks and their mountains. It was awarded a place in the top 3 best B&B’s in Italy and is literally a secret gem that will take your breath away… Then it’s off to family owned winery, Zaccagnini for an intimate wine tasting before you taste a selection of Vincenzo’s Dad’s notorious seafood dishes paired with the perfect wines to get your palette dancing.

Day 5 Thu.

SCANNO AND THE ART OF MAKING CHEESE IN ANVERSA DEGLI ABRUZZI (B, L)

Visit to a farm immersed in a green landscape of extraordinary beauty overlooking the Sagittario Gorges where you’ll learn about protecting the land and the ancient art of producing cheese. For lunch, you’ll taste a variety of salty and sweet cheeses alongside several mouthwatering specialties taken from paddock to plate. It’s the slow food movement experience of a lifetime. The afternoon will then be spent in the historical village of Scanno, where you will see elderly women in traditional dress and observe one of the most ancient forms of jewellery making before taking a relaxing walk along the seemingly neverending lake of Scanno known has the lake of love because is shaped like a love heart.

Day 6 Fri.

OLIVE OIL TASTING CLASS, COOKING CLASS AND LUNCH ON A TRABOCCO (B, L)

Immerse yourself in the world of extra virgin olive oil in a multi sensorial and interactive way in Bucchianico where a hidden treasure awaits; the Museum of Olive Oil. This gem stores an 18th century olive mill and will be the meeting point for an oil taste testing by a professional sommelier. Whilst in this incredible setting, you will be treated to a unique cooking class with Vincenzo where you will learn how to highlight the oil as the core ingredient in a delicious recipe. The next stop of this Italian tour is one for social media as it will seem like a dream and you’ll want to look back! It is a seafood lunch (with ingredients fished on the same day) in the most unforgettable setting of a fisherman hut overlooking the infinite Trabocchi Coast.

Day 7 Sat.

TRUFFLE HUNTING IN CAMPLI AND WILD EXPERIENCE IN CIVITELLA DEL TRONTO (B, L, D)

On the second last day you will travel to ancient Campli and engross yourself in a world of truffle. After hunting with local experts you will enjoy a lunch filled with flavours of the local delicacy – from savoury to sweet, the flavours will surprise and delight! Then it’s off to Civitella Del Tronto on the border of Marche Region. A town dominated by an impressive Fortress, the largest in Italy, and the second in Europe. Then, be amazed by an encounter with a Master of Falconry including owls, hawks, and wolves. For the last night of our Italian tour, your hotel is in the mountainside where you will and enjoy a dinner of famous arrosticini and other Abruzzese local specialties before an early night in preparation for the Grand finale!

Day 8 Sun.

PORCHETTA DAY AND DEPARTURE (B, L)

The best is saved until last! The Italian tour comes full circle for the grand finale: Porchetta Day” with Vincenzo and his wonderful family. After stopping at renowned Pastry shop Pasticceria Merlinito taste the age-old sweet, “Pizza Dolce”, you are invited to feast at the table of Vincenzo’s great grandparents’ home and demolish a scrumptious lunch with wood-fire porchetta, handmade prosciutto and local cheese.

Drop – off service to Rome where you will arrive around 7.00 pm.
